Updated and Improved! The best LEAPS to buy in 2024

If you have been looking for the list of all available LEAPS to buy in 2024, you probably found my earlier blog post.

As far as I know, I am the only person who is publishing the list of every LEAPS with a January 2026 expiration date.

The best LEAPS to buy in 2024 are going to be from this list. That's because you want the LEAPS that expire in January of the year farthest out from your current trading date.

Right now as I write this in June 2024, that means LEAPS with a January 2026 expiration date.

The problem is that there are 483 of these LEAPS!

Even though I spent hours to compile this list, you as a smart investor need to narrow down this list even more. That's what I have just done for you.

If you want to profit from the ups and downs of LEAPS, you need to invest in LEAPS that have a lot of trading volume and activity.

The higher the volatility of a LEAPS, the greater your opportunity to have more buys and sells as the LEAPS has ups and downs.

This volatility comes from LEAPS with a lot of ownership and trading volume.

That's why I spend many more hours going through the list of all 483 LEAPS that expire in January 2026 to find the LEAPS with these criteria:

  • at least 200 open contracts
  • trading at least 10 contracts per day

This gave me a list of 195 LEAPS that are the best LEAPS to buy in 2024.

This is my updated and improved list of the best LEAPS to buy in 2024!
